Jonny Blaze began DJing on vinyl 15 years ago on a pair of old Gemini P.T2000's. Like most aspiring DJ's he learnt his trade playing at house parties and small venues in his home town of Leeds, England. But it wasn't until seeing Sasha play at Space in Ibiza that he realized the true power a DJ could wield over a crowd.
Things began to pick up for Jonny 5 years ago when with little more than a pair of flip flops and his record bag he set out for Asia. Playing at various venues around S.E Asia before landing a residency at the now infamous Cave bar on Koh Tao, Thailand. Here and at parties on the island he honed his skills in front of ever increasing crowds.
A chance encounter brought him to the peninsula in 2007 and since then he has graced the decks at numerous venues in Seoul. Most notably though he has for the past 3 years been one of the driving musical forces behind the notorious Hamilton hotel pool parties. Pushing weekends from the great to the sublime, and often onto the ridiculous!
He is known for his great early and peak time sets possessing the skills and knowledge necessary to draw crowds from the bar and tables onto the dance floor with his funky tech and house sound. As the current resident at Seoul’s original superclub M2, he has proved himself a true force behind the decks. Combining his fluid mixing skills with an instinctive knowledge of where the crowd is and where he wants to take them.
